In March 2015 I went to Kolkata. I don't know anyone in Kolkata but I totally depended on God and went ahead. After reaching Kolkata (Howrah Railway Station) I approached one of the bookstores in the railway station. It is a religious bookstore (Gaudiya Vaishnava) I asked him to give me any job if available then he said to me to go to their Ashram and we will talk over there. He has given the address and I went to the Ashram by ferry boat (ticket given by him) and got relaxed that night. The next day morning he introduced me to the Ashram Head and had a conversation with him. Ashram Head said to me that, If I left the home completely then I can stay in the Ashram. So I said I want to work for temporarily, he said it is not possible. I have stayed another day and left the Ashram.
I have visited ISKCON Temple and had darshan. After that, I visited the Missionaries of Charity for temporary work. To my surprise, almost all of them are girls/women working there. I felt shy and I didn't ask anything regarding a job opportunity. One of a nun said, opposite to the missionary there is a Church called St. James' Church go there and ask them.
I went to St. James' Church and met the front office receptionist and I asked I want to meet the Church Father. After some time I got the chance to meet the Church Father and had a conversation with him regarding a temporary job. He refused me to offer me a job because I am an alien to him because of privacy and security reasons. I have shown him my ID cards yet he refused. I begged him to show the way, he inquired his friends, and at last, he has given a homeless shelter address.
I went to the given Homeless shelter address. Unfortunately, I don't remember the shelter name. The address is near to Ragini Cinema Hall, Sealdah Railway Station. In this shelter, I stayed for 7 days. Staying, the bathroom and electricity are free. They provide pillows, mats, and rugs. I have seen surroundings like Cyber Café, Temples, Sweet shops, restaurants. Of all, I liked the Kolkata Pani puri.
Taxi rates are a bit costlier and the Auto-rickshaw and bus charges are reasonable.
Cyber Cafes demands us to show an ID card to have access to computers.
p.s. As usual, my blood relative and our family friend Kakatiya University Retired Professor (Expert in Telepathy and Schizophrenia)'s stalkers are stalking me all the time to my bad!
